EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Goldmark Advisers Proprietary Database incorporates information about domestic private equity groups and their current holdings of portfolio companies, including essential data about each portfolio company: name, website, description, date acquired, industry, and an estimate of size. The Goldmark Advisers Proprietary Database contains only the current holdings of domestic private equity groups, portfolio companies where the listed private equity group retains a majority interest, and only portfolio companies for which a date of acquisition is available.

Using the actionable information consolidated into the database, specifically the acquisition date, industry classification, and the size, we are better able to assist clients utilizing a specific set of criteria to search for possible acquisition targets; this database will enable rapid and accurate pinpointing of eligible portfolio companies that satisfy the client's criteria. Moreover, because private equity groups tend to prefer to sell a portfolio company within three to seven years following the date of acquisition, we are able to use the acquisition date information in the Goldmark Proprietary Database to target private equity groups that are statistically more apt to sell a certain portfolio company.
